Terms & Conditions

1. The service

RogueBoard is a platform where students join real projects run by organisations, work through a task programme, and submit evidence of their work — text and file uploads — for review. When a project is completed and approved, RogueBoard issues a public verification credential at /verify/RB-XXXX showing the project title, your display name, the completion date, and the skills involved. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these terms.

2. Accounts and age

  • You must be 16 or older to use RogueBoard.
  • Give accurate information when you sign up and when you apply to projects, including your display name and profile.
  • Keep your password secure and don't share your account with anyone else. You're responsible for what happens under your account.

3. Acceptable use

  • Don't upload unlawful content in task evidence, or anything you don't have the right to submit.
  • Don't impersonate another person or organisation.
  • Don't misrepresent work as your own, submit fabricated evidence, or attempt to earn credentials dishonestly.
  • Don't use the platform to harass or mislead other students, organisations, or reviewers.

4. Your work and how it's used

The point of RogueBoard is that your work gets used for real. By submitting work on a project, you grant the project's organisation the right to use your approved deliverables in the real world — that is the deal at the heart of the platform, and it's what makes the experience genuine rather than hypothetical. In return, you keep the right to reference and showcase your contribution in your own portfolio, including through your RogueBoard credential.

5. Reviews and approval

Evidence you submit is reviewed by the project's organisation or by RogueBoard admins. Reviewers decide whether work meets the task requirements, and may approve it, reject it, or ask for changes. XP is awarded for approved work. Review decisions are made in good faith and are final, though you can always resubmit improved work where the project allows it.

6. Credentials

Credentials are issued only for genuine, verified completion of a project. The credential page is intentionally public so that anyone you share it with can confirm it's real. RogueBoard may withhold, correct, or revoke a credential that turns out to be inaccurate, including where evidence was fabricated or misrepresented. If you delete your account, issued credentials remain as public verification records with the link to your account removed.

7. Plans and payment

RogueBoard currently offers a free plan only, with a limit of 4 open projects. Paid tiers are shown as coming soon; no payments are processed today. If we introduce paid tiers, we'll update these terms and tell you before anything changes for your account.

8. Site content

Project photography on the platform is licensed stock photography via Pexels, with the photographer credited. Don't reuse platform content outside RogueBoard without permission.

9. Termination

We may suspend or remove an account that breaches these terms, misuses the platform, or puts other members at risk. Where possible, we'll explain why. You can delete your account at any time; what happens to your data is described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Liability

RogueBoard provides the platform "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for losses arising from project outcomes, the conduct of organisations or other users, or platform downtime.

11. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update this page and change the "last updated" date at the top. Continuing to use the platform after a change means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

13. Contact
